Today’s Kona Cotton color of the day is Spa Blue.
I’m reminded of a popular commercial back in the 70’s for Calgon. It was a bath powder that softened the water. You can see the 1978 commercial here. It wasn’t uncommon in those days to know a brand by their commercial and some of those phrases and jingles stuck with you! I bet a few of you can recall a bunch of those still to this day.
But today’s color is a soft, light, relaxing blue that definitely makes me want to take a “ME” day and go to a spa. Interestingly enough, I’ve never been to one. I hear they are nice. But, even though I’d love a spa day… I’d love a full-on, fun-filled, crazy, quilt-buddies quilting day instead. I guess that’s my spa resort, sitting down with friends, fabric and the whir of a sewing machine.
