Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Helitrope.
I was not sure what heliotrope was or if I had ever seen it before but I found out that it is a popular flowering garden plant. I also found out that it is highly toxic to dogs and cats. Though it is not palatable most animals will completely ignore it.
I hope that you will not completely ignore today’s color. It is a medium purple. I know that we have featured this quilt before, but it is the perfect example of pinks and purples together. I love this quilt. It is constructed with half-square triangles. This one is going on my list of future quilts to make, and I have to tell you that list is growing longer everyday.
