The day before yesterday’s Kona Cotton color of the day was Mediterranean. You didn’t know that because my birthday was on Wednesday and it was my post and I missed it. No big surprise there!
I had a nice day for my birthday. I enjoyed going on a mini quilt shop hop with my husband – he fully supports my addictions to pretty much everything quilt related. But sadly he wasn’t feeling well and so we had to cut our shop hop short. I try not to miss going and spending at my local quilt shops because they are the smaller hubs that help everything function well. ALWAYS support your LQS (local quilt shops)!
So I’ve been color boarding some more. I love Mediterranean. It’s a deep true blue and just phenomenal.
So here is the first one.

I liked this A LOT and the pop of yellow and green just made it feel spring-like, in the husks of winter. But I couldn’t just leave it this way, had to try something new. But I only changed the last two colors because I really love the first three and I wanted them to remain. So try again I did.

I like the contrast with the last two colors and I do like a good lavender. The white offset the black and I felt like it worked well. But, again, I just couldn’t leave it alone that way. So one last try. And this last color board I think I am the most satisfied with.

This one I just felt worked the best. The blues, a dark contrast – black, and then a mint green with the light to medium lavender color. It just works for me!
