March 18 – Kona Breakers

Breakers is today’s Kona color of the day. I love the ocean and this is probably one of my favorite colors. Living where I do in the PNW I am only about 90 minutes from the coast. If you are not familiar with the Pacific Ocean, it is very different from the Atlantic Ocean. While we do have lots of sand and beaches, there are quite a few rocky cliffs and jetties for the waves to crash upon. The water is also very cold and not really conducive for swimming for any length of time unless you have a wet suit, or are a child who is impervious to the cold water. However, I never pass up the chance to spend the day at the coast and dip my toes in the water, if only for a few minutes. I can spend hours just walking along the beach listening to the waves crash. This quilt would be perfect to take to the beach and soak up some sun.
