March 20 – Kona Celestial- Rain, Rain, Go Away

Celestial is today’s Kona Color of the Day, and it is a heavenly shade of indigo blue with a touch of a cobalt undertone. This color reminds me of the sky when it is about to storm and the clouds are turning dark. One thing about living in the PNW is that we really do not have thunder storms. Yes it does rain a lot, but we do not experience storms very often. In fact, if there happens to be lightning or there is a chance of lightning, it usually makes the news. I have lived here for seven years and I can probably count on one hand how many times I have seen lightning. But there is nothing dark and stormy about this color. It can be paired with so many different shades of blues and greens and still come away fresh and clean, as if the storm has passed.
