April 4th -Parfait- Eat Dessert First

Today’s Kona color of the day is Parfait. I have to admit that I really did not know what a parfait was until I did some research. I thought it was just something you ordered off the dollar menu at McDonald’s because you wanted something a little bit healthier. According to Wikipedia, the dessert originated in France in 1892 and was made by boiling cream, eggs, sugar, and syrup to create a custard. The American version uses yogurt, granola, nuts, liqueurs, and fruit. Both are served in tall glassware with a long spoon.

Parfait means perfect in French, and I think that aptly describes this color. It is a perfect color that could be used as a background if you paired it with Carcoal, Brick, Sunny, or Medium Grey. It can also be paired with lighter colors such as Ice Peach, Lingerie, Champagne,Seafoam, and Limestone.
