Today’s Kona Cotton color of the day is Nectarine. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Nectarines. I like this color even though I’m not typically driven to orange colors. Although this one is much softer than the brightness of an orangey-orange.
Like I said in my last post, I liked Peaches a lot when I was a kid. And then, I found nectarines! I love them so much! Did I already say that? No fuzzy outside and all sweetness inside. I was a grown adult when I tried nectarines for the first time and boy, I was in heaven. I didn’t grow up with too many different fruits. My parents were pretty traditional about some things. Exotic fruits for us were cherries, strawberries, nectarines, peaches, pineapple. We mostly had apples, bananas, oranges and plums (my mother’s favorite fruit).
Nectarine is a color you could easily slip into the Tangent Quilt in place of Tangerine, see it in this post here. Just an FYI, this quilt pattern will be released on our website in the next few weeks, so you might want to pick it up for yourself. And maybe get some Tangerine, Turquoise, Marine or some Nectarine too! See how well they go together?
