May 2 – Teal Blue- Singing the Blues

Today’s Kona color of the day is Teal Blue. Teal Blue is a medium-saturated, blue-green color, with more blue, that compliments many different colors. It can be paired with different shades of reds, purples, yellows, and neutrals, such as black and brown.

I currently live in an apartment, so I am living with plain, boring white walls, except for a few accent walls that were painted when I first moved in. Lately I have been binge watching home remodeling shows on the Discovery Channel, and I am dreaming of my next home. I would love to paint or wall paper an accent wall with teal, or have pops of color around the room in teal. I think that even though this is a bolder color choice for me, it would still bring me a sense of calm and soothing feelings that won’t leave me singing the blues.
