August 3rd – Bellini

Today’s Kona Cotton color of the day is Bellini.

This is a medium pink with peachy undertones. It could be considered the first colorations of a shy or embarrassed blush on the cheeks.

But other than being the blush of young love or a first kiss, this is a solidly delicate looking color that would blend well with other pinks, blues or purples that might also share a peachy undertone.

See the quilt below as an example.

Did you know that a Bellini is actually a cocktail made with Prosecco or champagne and peach puree or nectar? Did you also know that the difference between a bellini and a mimosa is that a mimosa is made with juice and a bellini isn’t.

Now that you have been Bellini “educated”…. Pop on over to our website and join our Facebook/Instagram Block of the Month! We are going through a traditional 9-Patch, from easy to more complicated as we go along. We have had a few technical difficulties with the videos, so they will be uploaded very soon. In the meantime, the instruction pages are up for you. Check back each month for 2 new blocks to do.

Let us know what is on your cutting table this week!
