September 5th- Sage – Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme

Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Sage.

I love sage as a seasoning. As the weather turns a bit cooler I am looking forward to the fall and the fact that I will be using my oven more. One of my favorite side dishes is stuffing, and of course I like to use a heavy hand when I am adding sage to this dish. I also make a spinach casserole that has a bread crumb topping that calls for melted butter and sage. You can’t go wrong when a recipe calls for butter and sage.

Today’s color does not disappoint. Sage is a blue green that falls somewhere in the middle. It is not too light and not too dark. I would start by pairing it with pinks, starting with Primrose and probably throw in some Maize. This is almost sounding like the start of a good recipe. Let me see what else I want to add.

Sage, Seamist, Watermelon, Primrose, Maize, Gotham Grey, and Graphite

These are the colors that I have chosen for today. And just like a variety of foods, we don’t all have the same taste, but that is what makes us unique in our own way. If everyone liked the same thing then there would be no spice and variety in life.

Let us know what is on your cutting table today.
