Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Candy Green.
The other day Kathleen and I were doing some fabric pairings on the fly and I pulled a bundle that looked a lot like candy corn. We started discussing candy and I really could not come up with a candy that I dislike. About the only type of candy bar that I won’t eat is a Payday, and I probably should give it another try. I would say that fabric is like candy and there really isn’t a fabric that I dislike. I have my favorites, but it really depends on the project that I am working on as to what type or style of fabric that I pull.
Today’s color is Candy Green and it is a light minty green. This quilt reminds me of the Fruit Stripe gum I used to chew growing up. I have not bought gum in years and I do not know if they even still make this brand. I remember that the wrappers were one of my favorites for making long strands of bubble gum chains. I wonder if kids still do that today?
