Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Rose.
I am a big fan of roses. I like them growing in the garden and I like them as cut flowers in the house. One of my favorite places to visit is the International Rose Test Gardens in Portland, OR. When we first moved to Oregon we were only planning on living there a year or so. I made a bucket list of all the different things and places I wanted to visit and the Rose Garden was on the list. We had only lived in Beaverton for a few weeks and my husband came home from work and said he was going to take me to the Rose Garden. Now it is February, it is drizzling, and it is dark. We park in the parking lot and start walking around the gardens, which are all pruned and there are just these sticks sticking up out of the mud. Not very impressive at this point. After walking around looking at the sticks he says to me, “I guess we can cross the Rose Garden off of your bucket list.” WHAT!!! Needless to say he was joking, and we went back to visit many many times during our time in Oregon.
Today’s color Rose is a medium mauve pink. I would say that it has a slightly grey undertone to it that is very subtle.
