November 30th – Mahogany

Today’s Kona color of the day is Mahogany.

According to Wikipedia Mahogany is a straight-grained, reddish-brown timber of three tropical hard wood species of the genus Swietenia, indigenous to the Americas and part of the pantropical chinaberry family, Meliaceae. this is probably more information than you care to know about Mahogany, but it is a beautiful color. It is a deep wine color. This quilt is featured in the 2022 Kona cotton solids 365 Calendar and it is in our lineup to make. Let us know if we can kit this for you.
