December 4th – Oyster

Two days ago the Kona Cotton color of the day was/is Oyster. I know, I’m now 3 days behind. I’m not sure this is going to improve much through the month. December being the last month of the year is busy enough for everyone, but for me, it’s a WHOLE lot more and for a bunch of boring personal reasons that I won’t go into.

But, the color is Oyster. And it’s a great color! It’s so perfect as a neutral. You can’t really go wrong. But the food? Nope. I’ve never had an oyster when I could eat them and now that I keep kosher, I CAN’T eat them. It’s probably just as well. Descriptions of slimy and sliding down your throat….just give me the heebie-jeebies. It’s a real word. Look it up.

But this quilt (below) which features oyster looks like lots of fun to create!

Everyone needs some good neutrals in their lives. It makes balancing the trickiest of challenges worthwhile.

What’s on your cutting table this week?
