Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Deep Rose.
I am jumping in a little bit ahead of myself today, but I wanted to share a little bit of what is being planned for this next year in the studio. This past year, Kathleen and I have been blogging every day about the Kona cotton color of the day. At the beginning of the year we assigned each of the 365 colors to a day. The year is almost over and it has been fun sharing stories and quilts with you. This next year we are going to feature the 2022 Kona calendar quilts. This one happens to be for the month of February. We will be kitting each quilt and offering them on the website. We plan to piece and quilt each one and feature the process throughout the month. So here is a peek at February, which just happens to use Deep Rose as one of the colors.
Deep Rose is a medium red, closer to mauve in color. It works well with the different shades of purple in this quilt. I am looking forward to quilting along with you and making all of the quilts that are featured in the calendar.
