Today’s Kona color of the day is Aqua. As strange as it sounds, I have to admit that I really do not have a favorite color, but if I had to choose one it would probably be aqua. I tend to love all colors and usually the color palette that I am currently working with ends up being my favorite color at the time. But for me this color is the perfect blend of blue and green.
According to Kids Encyclopedia here are some fun facts about aqua:
- Aqua is the Latin word for water.
- Aqua is the name used by web site designers for the color cyan or aquamarine.
- The tallest building in the world is a skyscraper in Chicago, named Aqua.
- Aqua is a band from Denmark, with a breakthrough single “Barbie Girl”.
