April 24th – Gold- All that Glitters

Today’s Kona color of the day is Gold.

I am not a glitzy, glamour, jewelry girl, so gold is really a color I would choose. About ten years ago, my husband and I went to a Renaissance Faire and we found matching silver rings that we both loved, so that is now the ring I wear as a wedding band. Unfortunately it is just a little too big for my finger so I wear a very narrow gold band that came with my engagement ring in order to keep my ring from falling off my finger.

However, the gold in this quilt is definitely makes a statement. Maybe I can come to appreciate the finer things in life and get on board with the color gold.
