Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Ferndale.
I think this is a great shade of green, as it is not too light and not too dark. It is just slightly darker than Parakeet. For some reason, I don’t know why, this color reminds me of Girl Scout thin mint cookies. I was a Girl Scout for many years and I really enjoyed going out and selling cookies. Our troop always started sales in February when it was blustery and cold. I can remember waking up on that first Saturday that we were allowed to go out and make sales, usually trooping through snow (I lived in Illinois) to make the first sales. Cookies back then sold for $1.25 a box, now that really dates me.
It is probably too late in the year to get some Girl Scout cookies, but it is not too late to pick up some Kona Ferndale at 15% off today.
