Today’s Kona color of the day is Peapod.

These are my two peas in a pod. I am the mother of twin boys, who somehow, in the blink of an eye, are going to be 26 this summer. They are fraternal and do not really look alike, so I do not have any stories about how they switched places to fool anyone while growing up. I wanted to be surprised when they were born, so we did not find out what we were having until the day they were born. Our daughter was with us at the hospital and when my husband told her that she has two brothers her response was, “but that’s not what I wanted.” She soon came to realize that if one of them had been a girl she would have probably had to share her room among other things. Growing up they all had their share of sibling differences, but now, even though all my kids live in different states, to this day they are each other’s best friends.
Now on to today’s color. I also happen to love peapods. I will eat them raw or cooked in Chinese food. This shade of green looks just like the peapods you buy in the store. It pairs well with Blue Grass, Cerise, Corn Yellow, Thistle, Celestial, Carrot, and Valentine. If you wanted to pair it with other greens, it pairs well with Bonsai, Lime, Ivy, Limelight, Tarragon, and Espresso.

Seeing this color makes me hungry for Chinese food. How about you? What are you going to make with Kona Peapod today?
