Today’s Kona Cotton color of the day is Papaya. It’s a cross between a gold and an orange-y color.
Everyone knows how I feel about orange-y colors. But this fabric has just enough gold or yellow undertones to tame the savage orange into submission. And of course, pairing it with just the right complementary colors has the same effect.
So take a look below at a quilt called Sweet Tooth, by Jaybird Quilts. They paired not only papaya but also some other colors as well, such as persimmon, valentine, sangria, and sprout. See it below!

It doesn’t matter what your unfavorite color is because you can mix it up with others and have a jolly good time. It will change the look and perhaps your perspective of the colors you don’t care for. For me and orange colors……..? Papaya gives me the opportunity to think about it and perhaps try it again.
Give it a whirl yourself! Let us know what your most UNfavorite color is in the comments below!
