Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Parchment.
I have always been a crafty person. Growing up I learned how to crochet, cross stitch, macramé, and sew among other things. I majored in Fashion Merchandising in college and thought I would become a buyer or work on window displays for some big department store. Those dreams did not come to fruition, but I did work for a small family owned blue jean manufacturer for awhile before I had children. Once my kids were born I was fortunate enough to stay home with them, and that is when I began scrapbooking and collecting paper.
I love paper almost as much as I love fabric. We are in the process of moving from Oregon to Texas and I have been packing boxes for what seems like weeks now and I think I have almost as many boxes of paper as I do boxes of fabric. I think I am up to 16 boxes of each, and I’m not sure what weighs more, paper or fabric. For now I have set aside my love of scrapbooking and paper, but I’m not going to give up my paper. I have hauled those 16 boxes from Illinois to Oregon, and now they will move with me again to Texas.
Parchment is one of those medium, neutral colors that would work well with lots of other colors as a background or as a complimentary choice for other fabrics.
