Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Butter.
Growing up I lived on a block that was a circle. There were four houses and between the households there were eleven kids. On the circle there was an empty lot that had a mound of dirt surrounded by a grassy field, and that was our playground where we would all meet and play. In the summer that lot turned yellow with dandelions, and you can imagine how much fun it was to pick them. We would hold them under our chins and ask. “Do you like butter?” One day my brother took some home to my mom and she showed her appreciation, as any mother would do when given a bunch of weeds, picked by her son. So the next day my brother drug a garbage can out to the field and proceeded to spend the day picking dandelions. He filled the garbage can about half full and dragged it home for my mom. We still talk about that to this day.
Today’s color is soft and creamy like real sticks of butter. It pairs well with softer shades of blues, greens, oranges, and yellows.
