Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Cyan.
I was talking with a friend the other day that I had not talked to in years, and as we were catching up about moves, houses, kids, and work, she asked what I was doing. I told her that I was working as a pattern writer for a quilt shop. That conversation led to her quilting experiences. She does not like to piece, but really enjoys the process of quilting on her domestic machine. Her current project is some mug rugs out of some of her favorite prints. No piecing involved, just practice quilting. There are days that I also just want a simple project, and that is when I will make a table runner or a small wall hanging.
Kona has so many choices of blue, so if you happen to like blue Cyan will fit the bill perfectly. It is a medium shade of blue that is the color between green and blue and it reminds me of the ocean. You can go all monochromatic and stay with different shades of blue, or pair it with bright colors.
