Today’s Kona color of the day is Pepper.

I don’t know how you feel about pepper, but I am not a huge fan of it. I will use it sparingly when I am cooking, but I will not go out of my way to put pepper on my food. I come to find out that when my husband used to cook he had a jar of white pepper that he used. He did this so the kids and I did not know that he was using pepper.

I currently do not have a pepper grinder in my kitchen because I have recently moved and my belongings will arrive at the end of August. I need to put pepper on my grocery list, but I keep forgetting, because I have not done a lot of cooking yet in my new place and I am not the one who loves pepper on my food.

I do however love this modern quilt that uses Pepper. Over the past year, my quilting style has changed and I am looking more and more at more modern quilting and using more solid colors. The quilt below is am example of a modern quilt that I would love to make. I like the simple, geometric shapes and how the colors compliment each other. Kona Pepper is not a true black, but has just a slight dark blue undertone.
