August 8th – I Love Me a Good Wine

Today’s Kona Cotton color of the day is Wine.

Today’s color is a deep red color.

I like wine, but I’m not a wine aficionado. I’ve only this year discovered that I like a slightly drier wine. I never knew that before. I don’t drink a lot of wine in general and I can’t drink sweet wines at all, unless it’s a sweet marsala wine that I am using for my Marsala Chicken. Oh man, now that’s making me hungry!

The best compromise Handsome and I could come to was a young semi-sweet wine. Not too sweet for him and not too dry for me. Yeah. That’s over. Can’t drink it. I’ve gotten a little spoiled on the Spanish wines and now I can’t even drink the semi-sweet Handsome and I shared. Oh, don’t worry. He’s okay with that. He says, “Well, you’ve finally grown up.” Great. Just…. peachy. I always thought I was grown up.

Oh who am I kidding? I am a mature and grown woman who acts like a teenager at least half the time. Yeah. It’s THAT half that gets me in trouble with….. well, practically everyone. Setting all that aside, I’ve got a really beautiful quilt to show you that has wine in it along with some really beautiful colors in greys and reds/peaches. And guess what? It’s aptly named… Marsala.

You can never go wrong with a good glass of wine. Just don’t overdo it, right?

What’s on your cutting table today?
