Today’s Kona cotton color of of day is Banana.

I can’t say that I have a favorite fruit, because I love all kinds of fruit, but bananas usually end up in my shopping cart every week. I am however very particular about my bananas. I do not like ripe bananas. I buy them when they are green and tend to eat them when the first hint of yellow begins to appear on the peel. Other people in my family won’t touch them until they are brown and spotty. I like my bananas plain or with crunchy peanut butter. I would share my banana bread recipie with you, but unfortunately my belongings still have not arrived from Oregon yet. I will tell you that I bake it in a 9×9 pan because it bakes quicker, and I do not like the dark brown crust that I tend to get when I bake it in a loaf pan.

Today color is a creamy yellow with just a slight peach undertone. I would pair it with some of the greens and definitely some of the browns and grey’s.

Let us know what is on your cutting table today.
