August 29th- Palm- Can I Palm Off This Color On You?

Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Palm.

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you have had a chance to spend some time this weekend working on a project or two. Yesterday I worked on hand binding a quilt and I will do some more today. I think binding is one of my favorite parts of quilting. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy the whole process, but when it comes down to binding my preferred method is to hand bind it. I love having the quilt drapped over my lap while I work on it. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to finish a project, but also makes me sad in a way because I have spent so much time creating something beautiful and it is now finished. I guess finishing something is also good because I can move on to something new and there are so many things I want to create.

Today’s quilt is a free pattern from Robert Kaufman designer Elise Lea and incorporates so many different shades of green. Palm is the color of the day and it is a dark olive green. As you can see, all of the different greens work so well together.
