October 7th- Paris (Blue) Is Always a Good Idea

Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Paris Blue.

I would love to see Paris some day although there are so many places in the United States that I also want to visit. I will admit that I am a creature of habit and going places I have never been makes me a little uncomfortable, which is probably why I am not a world traveller. As I get older I am getting better at adapting to change. When I moved to Oregon almost eight years ago it took me a while to get used to a new town, learn where things were at, figure out the public transportation, etc., but I eventually got very comfortable in my new city. This past summer we packed up again and decided to move to Texas, a place I had only visited once, many years ago. I feel that I handled this move much better. Within a day or two we were out exploring different neighborhoods and restaurants. It has been fun to see what different communities have to offer and I am finding it exciting to explore new places. Maybe someday I will even venture to another country.

Today’s color Paris Blue is fun color. It is a medium blue that could be used as a background or as a focal fabric. In this quilt is works well with other shades of blue, yellows, and greys.
