October 13th- Smoke and Mirrors

Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Smoke.

Last summer we experienced about ten days of smoke and haze from the Oregon and California wildfires. That was not a pleasant experience and one that I really do not want to have again. As fall approaches and the rain starts I hope that the smoke is clearing out for any of you that are still dealing with it.

Let’s talk about today’s color Smoke. It is a medium grey with some slight brown undertones. I have not used this color in any of my quilts yet, so I do not have anything to show using this color. I would however pair it with yellows, reds, blues, and purples if I was choosing to incorporate it into a project.

Let us know what is on your cutting table today.
