November 2nd – Petunia- That’s All Folks

Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Petunia.

I love petunias. I could not wait until Mother’s Day each year to visit the garden center and pick out petunias to plant. There were always so many to choose from and I had to decide if I was going to follow a color scheme or just pick ones I liked and hoped they worked together in the garden beds. I haven’t had much opportunity to garden in the last few years due to living in an apartment, but petunias were always such an easy plant to put in a pot and scatter a few around the deck for some much needed color. It is no wonder that they are one of the most popular flowering annuals.

Today’s quilt is Rhythm by Lo and Behold Stitchery. The quilt features the color Petunia which is a a light shade of purplish lilac. It blends well with other shades of purple from violet to mulberry as well as some of the rosier reds.
