November 25th – Olive You Forever

Today’s Kona color of the day is Olive.

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends in the US. Today is a day where families and friends gather and feast. This year will be quite different for my husband and I. Due to work schedules we will not be traveling to see family. Don’t worry though, we have a tradition that started a few years ago when we moved to the PNW. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law always took a hike on Thanksgiving day because they lived far from family. We would call and talk to them and they would tell us about where they had hiked that day. I always thought it was a bit of a strange thing to do. Then we moved to Oregon and were fortunate enough to spend Thanksgiving with them every year because we didn’t live to far from them. So we would also take the traditional Thanksgiving hike with them. It would either be before we ate or after depending on what the weather was doing. So this year, my husband and I will continue the tradition and we will take a hike. It might be more of an urban hike, but it will still involve getting out and enjoying each others company in-between the many phone calls to our parents, brothers and children. Enjoy your day and I hope you can relax with some family, friends, and quilts.

Olive is olive. It is a medium green much like the olives you would buy in the store. I do not have a quilt or a color combination to share, but if you would like 15% off of Olive you can find it HERE.

Let us know what is on your cutting table today.
