Today’s Kona Cotton color of the day is Titanium. Titanium is a medium gray that works well with most colors and is more on the cooler side than the warm side.
Today, also reaching back in history, is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. On this day, December 7th, 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and jumpstarted the entrance of the United States into World War II. My father wasn’t even born yet. He was born December 26th 1941. It was an ugly time for the world. But there are many moments on the world stage that haven’t been pretty, like the Vietnam War, 9/11 and for the past almost 2 years, the world wide pandemic, which has devastated businesses, economies and lives.
So now we are moving on to something more pieceful and happy…. fabric and colors. Can’t go wrong with that.
Here are my color board takes with Titanium front and center!

I like the first two color combinations, but the third one is not really my favorite. I think the aqua colors in the middle are just a little too close in color. I might go back and tweak this one a little.

This last color combination I find oddly satisfying. Mostly because there are colors in it I like and some, not so much. But when they are all put together…. I kind of like them. Surprises me. And that isn’t easy to do anymore.
