December 27th – Willow You Idiot

Today’s Kona cotton color of the day is Willow.

I just happened to be in the studio one day when a box arrived from Robert Kaufman containing an order of Kona cottons. It is like Christmas when a box arrives, especially since I was new to working in the studio. We set up a video to show the unboxing. I was in charge of pulling out each bolt of fabric and naming it to show the viewers at home what we were receiving. I pulled out the bolt of Willow and immediately exclaimed, “Willow you idiot,” in Fin Razel’s voice. I am a huge fan of the movie Willow and said the first thing that came out of my mouth.

Willow is a deep green that reminds me more of an emerald green. It is featured with other greens in this quilt that would make the perfect quilt for St. Patrick’s Day. If you want to get a jump start on the perfect quilt for spring then let us know and we can kit this quilt for you.
